ARVC Foundation Seeks Support on Giving Tuesday

Tuesday, Dec. 1, is Giving Tuesday across the U.S., and the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) is soliciting donations for its philanthropic arm, the ARVC Foundation.

The goal of the ARVC Foundation’s Giving Tuesday initiative, which runs through Dec. 31, is to raise $12,000 to support the ARVC Foundation’s mission. The mission includes providing scholarships for the annual Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo (OHCE), the National School of RV Park and Campground Management and Prospective Owners Workshops (POW), as well as providing much needed financial assistance through the Disaster Relief Fund to aid ARVC member-parks that are impacted by natural disasters such as hurricanes, floods and wildfires.

Every donation can make a difference, the organization said, especially during a year that has seen so many challenges and obstacles thrown at RV park and campground owners.

“It has been a tough year for everyone, as we have all dealt with the COVID pandemic, natural disasters, park closures and so much more, but our industry has proven to be resilient, as always, in the face of these challenges and has pulled together to help each other through these tough times,” said Paula Horwitz, ARVC Foundation executive director. “We have such an amazing community that joins to support each other, and our Giving Tuesday campaign is a vital part of that effort. We truly value and need your donations to continue our work.”

Attendees during ARVC’s annual Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo (OHCE) generously contributed more than $18,000 to the ARVC Foundation to kick off the fundraising push. Now, ARVC is calling on other members of the outdoor hospitality community to help raise an additional $12,000 by donating what they can by visiting arvc.org/donate. All donations are 100 percent tax deductible contribution and will help ensure the continued growth of the outdoor hospitality industry.

“The generosity within the outdoor hospitality industry is amazing,” said Cyndy Zbierski, chair of the ARVC Foundation Board, adding that campgrounds, RV parks and supporting businesses give to many local, regional and national groups such as first responders, local hospitals, schools, and churches

Donations of any size are welcome and can be made in the name of an individual or a park or anonymously. Donors can also specify whether the donation should go toward scholarships, the Disaster Relief Fund or the ARVC Foundation general fund.
