Australian Q3 RV Market Report Reveals Leadership Change

The Q3 2025 RV Market Brand Consideration Report from Retain Media provides a detailed snapshot of consumer interest across Australia’s recreational vehicle sector. Based on more than 2.8 million search queries collected throughout the quarter, this comprehensive report reveals the most-searched RV brands nationally, highlighting Snowy River Caravans’ historic achievement in claiming the top position in both the Imported and RVMAP categories for the first time, Retain Media said.

Some Key Findings:

  • Snowy River Caravans achieved a historic double victory, claiming the top position in both the Imported category (16.2%, +7.2%) and RVMAP category (10.2%, +3.0%) for the first time, overtaking Market Direct (MDC) in both segments.
  • Jayco retained overall market dominance with 24.1% search share, though this represents a 7.0% relative decline from Q2 and continues the brand’s gradual softening trend across recent quarters.
  • Titanium Caravans delivered the quarter’s most impressive gains, leaping from 1.4% to 2.0% — a remarkable 42.9% relative increase that makes it the top performer by relative growth in the All Brands category.
  • Crusader Caravans reversed course with strong momentum, jumping from 2.2% to 2.5% (+13.6%) in All Brands and surging to third place in the RVMAP category with an 18.8% relative increase.
  • Market Direct (MDC) experienced significant erosion, falling to second place in both the Imported (15.1%, -3.8%) and RVMAP (9.5%, -7.7%) categories after holding the top spot for multiple consecutive quarters.
  • Lifestyle Campers faced sharp correction, dropping from 2.7% to 2.2% — an 18.5% relative decrease that erases much of the ground gained during its impressive Q2 surge.

The report also highlights strong performances from Avida (+9.5% in All Brands), BruderX (+22.2%) and Zone RV (+5.3%), while several established brands including Austrack (-9.1%) and Ezytrail (-9.7%) continued multi-quarter downward trends.

“Q3 2025 marked a pivotal quarter for Australia’s RV market, with Snowy River Caravans’ ascent to the top of both the Imported and RVMAP categories signaling a significant shift in brand dynamics,” said Brian Sullivan, director at Retain Media. “While Jayco maintained its overall dominance despite softening across categories, the quarter’s results reveal a market where brand momentum matters increasingly, with established players facing sustained pressure from rising competitors like Titanium Caravans, which posted a remarkable 42.9% surge.”
