Baird: Dealer Sentiment Trends Positive in January
Dealers remain optimistic about current conditions, as well as in the three- to five-year time period, based upon a recent dealer survey conducted by financial services firm Baird in conjunction with the RV Dealers Association.
Results of the January Baird RV Dealer Index found that the dealer favorability rating was 67 out of 100 when it comes to current conditions. The dealer favorability rating for the three- to five-year outlook was 64 out of 100. (Any reading above 50 is positive.)
January’s current condition numbers represent a welcome turn from mid-2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic spread and many businesses were required to briefly shutter operations. At that time, dealer favorability numbers for the then “current conditions” plunged to less than 30 percent, although the dealer three- to five-year outlook remained positive.
