Motorhome registrations fell 13 percent in February, according to analyst firm R.W. Baird. Baird reported that Class A registrations fell 16 percent, to 775 units, while Class C registrations fell 8 percent, to 479 units.
In the Class A category, diesel and gas motorhome registrations both fell by 16 percent for the month.
Despite the decline for February, analyst Craig Kennison didn’t seem overly concerned. “February is seasonally less significant and weather was particularly bad – so we expect March and April trends to be more revealing,” he said. “We anticipate retail growth soon. Meanwhile, the robust wholesale recovery continues as demand stabilizes and dealers replenish inventory at a more normal rate.”
