Bandits Steal Five RVs in Florida

Thieves stole five RV trailers and equipment worth about $200,000 from a Bradenton dealership overnight, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.

This story by Ryan Ballogg originally appeared in the Bradenton Herald.

The thefts occurred last week sometime between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and 1 a.m. Wednesday at Gerzeny’s RV World, 6120 S.R. 64 E., Bradenton.

The thieves were able to gain access to the property by cutting the lock on a gate.

Detectives are now seeking information about three vehicles that were recorded at the scene by surveillance cameras.

All three vehicles were pickup trucks with dual rear wheels. Two of the vehicles are described as silver or white late-model Ford pickups and the other is described as a white or silver Dodge pickup.

The dealership lost two Intrepid brand trailers, two Aspen Trail brand trailers with sliding glass doors and a Kodiak Ultra Lite trailer. The suspects also entered five other travel trailers and removed power cords, according to the sheriff’s office.
