Banks Power recently released a universal suction mount that allows owners of the iDash 1.8 Super Gauge or any standard 52 mm gauge to affix it to their dashboard or windshield via the sticky suction cup. The adjustable arm allows for a range of mounting angles. The mount will accommodate gauges up to 32 mm deep.
Keeping with Banks’ Derringer tuner theme of a small hide-out gun, the mount has a tapered bullet shape with a cable opening hidden on the underside. The kit comes with a hex key for adjustment and alcohol pad for surface preparation.
“When preparing to launch the iDash 1.8, we realized there were no quality mounts available,” said Chris Otani, Banks’ product development manager. “The only one we could find kept falling off our windshield. So, we did what all good engineers do – we made our own.”
