Beijing RV Show Relocates to Larger Venue
Due to the growing interest in caravanning and all segments of mobile vacationing in China, the 7th All in Caravanning (AiC) trade fair will be held at a bigger exhibition center in Beijing from June 22 to 24.
“In addition to growth in terms of exhibition space and exhibitor numbers we also expect a record number of visitors,” said Stefan Koschke, global head of Caravanning & Outdoor at Messe Düsseldorf. “These impressive developments at AiC confirm that caravanning as a form for vacationing is very popular in Chinese society. The fast-growing middle class with great purchasing power is increasingly discovering this type of mobile vacationing.”
More than 700 national and international exhibitors will showcase their products on 377,000 square feet of exhibition space to an expected 30,000 visitors at this year’s AiC. At the first event in 2012, 53 exhibitors took part on 54,000 square feet.
“With the new exhibition center, we not only meet current growth requirements but also the quality expectations for this event,” said Axel Bartkus, GM at Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co.
With the larger outdoor space at the Etrong International Exhibition & Convention Center, the ancillary program could also be enhanced, the organization stated. The “Outdoor-Summer-Camp” will have adventure games, rugby, climbing towers, a cycling concourse as well as many other activities and sports such as the soccer zone.
“We want to place the caravanning experience even more center stage and emphasize the emotional character of this form of vacationing,” said Koschke. “This lifestyle aspect strikes the right chord with Chinese families allowing us to ensure precisely the right combination of traditional trade fair and entertainment for the whole family.”
For the first time, motorhome and caravan fans will have the opportunity to stay overnight in their own vehicles close to the exhibition center. The ranges and activities will be complemented by technical lectures and special shows.
