Beijing RV Show Reports 89 Percent Satisfaction Rating from Vendors
With 700 exhibitors showcasing 450 vehicles on 376,700 square feet of exhibit space to 22,193 visitors from 20 countries, the 7th All in Caravanning (AIC) trade fair in China closed with successful results, stated organizer Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai, a subsidiary of Messe Düsseldorf. This was the show’s first staging at the Etrong International Exhibition & Convention Center in Beijing.
“We were completely confident moving to the new exhibition venue,” said Axel Bartkus, General Manager of Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai. “The positive response to AIC this year proves that this is a wise decision which is in line with market demands, and we have withstood this test. The enthusiasm of visitors for RV vacation continues to rise which is very exciting for us. It gives us a feeling for the trend of the future.”
Due to the new venue, exhibitors were able to improve the quality of their exhibits and numerous purchase orders and signed contracts were reported. RV International, Yutong, Jinguan, LiveZone RV, Weihang RV, Huabeihui, Zhongya RV, Yate RV, Broadriver-horse, Yunshang RV, Qingdao Kailei, Sixing RV and Zhongqijingfu were among the companies who sold a number of vehicles at AIC 2018.
The caravan accessories zone and camping zone were also popular and resulted in positive sales results. According to a survey, 89 percent of the exhibiting companies were satisfied with their participation in AIC 2018.
A special feature at AIC 2018 was the “Speech Corner” with press conferences, technical forums and a conference on current topics for the RV sector.
The AIC 2018 ancillary program included the outdoor “B9 Game Zone” and the “AIC CLUB’s family activity zone” with educational programs to get young families interested in the RV lifestyle.
Several award presentations (Motor Home of the Year, Caravan of the Year, Mobile Home of the Year, “AIC Innovation”), rounded off the program.
This year, AIC launched its first “Caravaners’ Camping Zone” for RV fans staying in their own vehicles. About 300 visitors with 200 caravans made use of this zone during the three-day event.
The 8th AIC will be held at the Etrong International Exhibition & Convention Center in Beijing from June 14-16, 2019.
