Blue Ox to Introduce the Ascent Tow Bar

Blue Ox is once again raising the bar with the debut of its newest motorhome mount recreational tow bar, the 31-pound Ascent, according to Blue Ox President and CEO Ellen Kietzmann.

The Ascent, with the exception of the receiver stinger assembly, is entirely constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum and is Blue Ox’s first true all-aluminum tow bar in many years. Extremely lightweight at 31 pounds, the Ascent can be hooked up by virtually anyone in the family, yet it is heavy-duty enough to tow a 7,500-pound vehicle.

“We are extremely proud of the Ascent and its reception at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas,” said Kietzmann. “Dealers love the new look and the ease of use they have come to know with the Avail. The convenience of its lightweight construction will be a great advantage to our consumers. We are really excited to introduce the Ascent to the recreational towing market at RVIA.”

Blue Ox said the new tow bar is also easy on the eyes, featuring a premium Diamond Vogel powder-coat finish with metallic accents. The exclusive badge is gold-toned and distinctive. These features ensure that the new Ascent, like its popular steel-constructed counterpart the Avail, compliment and accentuate modern coach design.

The Ascent also features the non-binding, low profile latches found on the Avail tow bar. These revolutionary latches easily release on uneven terrain providing consumer friendly hook ups and disconnects.

Kietzmann added, “Please come by and see us at RVIA and let us give you a preview of what is next in recreational towing.”

Blue Ox will be at booth #30, Nov. 27 through the 30.
