Bristol, Indiana-based Bontrager Outdoors has acquired Shipshewana, Indiana-based Braxton Creek RV. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Austin and Jason are active in and well-respected in the community. Austin and Jason Bontrager grew up working in their family’s business, Jayco, and have a combined 30 years of experience working in the RV and overland camping industries. The Bontrager family has long been known for building high quality RV products.
“Austin and I are on a mission to continue the reputation our grandpa, Lloyd Bontrager, established so many years ago with Jayco. Taking care of our dealer network and the end customers will be a priority, combined with some much needed innovation in the RV industry,” said Jason Bontrager.
Bontrager Outdoors was founded in 2019 with the launch of Skinny Guy Campers. The Bristol-based camper company designs and manufactures what it said is the world’s lightest and most aerodynamic overland truck bed camper made entirely out of aluminum and stainless steel. The company also has several other products and services in its portfolio, all related to the outdoor industry.
Jason Bontrager said Braxton Creek and Skinny Guy will continue to operate under each name independently.
