Boundless Recreation Debuts New Chassis & Running-Gear Platform

Boundless Recreation announced the Boundless Ryde Foundation, a purpose-built chassis and running-gear platform that the company said reflects its commitment to starting the premium ownership experience where it matters most: beneath the coach.

At the center of the Boundless Ryde Foundation is a fully submerged E-coated chassis, finished with a durable powder-coated layer in Boundless Recreation’s exclusive bronze finish. The E-coating process is designed to reach seams, joints and difficult-to-access areas of the frame, providing thorough and consistent coverage that supports long-term corrosion resistance. The powder-coated finish adds another layer of protection and durability to exposed surfaces while giving the chassis its distinctive Boundless bronze appearance. Together, these processes reflect the foundation first philosophy behind Boundless Ryde, adding protection and attention to detail in an area of the RV that consumers may rarely see but will depend on for years to come.

With the Boundless Ryde Foundation, Boundless Recreation is setting a new standard for retail consumers. The company is positioning itself as the first fifth-wheel brand to make a stronger foundation a core brand commitment, not merely an option, package or standalone feature. True premium construction should begin with the foundation of the coach, not only with what customers see inside.

“A premium fifth wheel should be premium before the first cabinet, countertop or appliance is installed. The Boundless Ryde Foundation is our commitment to give retail consumers greater confidence from the ground up and to carry that same philosophy into every segment we enter,” said Boundless founders.

The foundation combines the E-coated chassis with seamless I-beam construction, Tour Coil Suspension, hydraulic disc brakes, 17.5-inch Michelin H-rated tires with tire pressure monitoring and a Helux pin box. Together, these components are intended to create a more complete foundation story around structural integrity, road control, braking confidence, tire capability and hitching performance.

The foundation first philosophy continues through the coach, the company said. Boundless fifth wheels use all composite construction in the roof, walls and floor, supported by an all-aluminum superstructure built on 16-inch centers. The result is a construction story designed around consistency, durability and long-term confidence, not simply visible luxury.

  • All composite roofs, walls and floors. Composite construction supports the Boundless goal of reducing reliance on traditional wood-based structural materials in major coach surfaces and building long-term durability.
  • All aluminum outer superstructure. The coach structure is framed in aluminum to create a strong, consistent structural system above the Boundless Ryde Foundation.
  • 16-inch on center construction. Aluminum framing on 16-inch centers, reinforced with structural clips, mechanical fasteners and adhesives, creates a stronger, more rigid sidewall construction designed to withstand the stresses of travel over time.

Boundless Recreation is backing its commitment with a five-year chassis warranty on the Boundless Ryde Foundation. The warranty reinforces the company’s view that the foundation should be treated as a long-term ownership asset rather than an overlooked component.

The Boundless Ryde Foundation is also designed as a brand platform, not a one model statement. As Boundless Recreation introduces products in new RV segments, the same foundation first philosophy will follow, providing dealers and consumers with a consistent expectation for how a Boundless product begins.
