Brown & Brown Revenues Increased 13% YTD in 2022
Insurance company Brown & Brown said its revenues in the second quarter were $839.7 million, more than a 15% increase – or $112.4 million – than the same quarter a year ago. Compared to Q2 of 2021, Brown & Brown said its commissions and fees increased 15.5% and organic revenue increased by 10.3%.
Net income for the second quarter was $145.2 million, increasing $5.9 million, or 4.2%, and diluted net income per share increased to $0.51, or 4.1%, as compared to the second quarter of the prior year.
Revenues for the six months ended June 30 were $1.7 billion, a 13 percent increase over the same quarter a year ago.
“We had an exceptional quarter growing 10.3% organically and profitably,” said J. Powell Brown, president and CEO. “We also completed our acquisition of GRP on July 1.”
