BULLDOG Designs First Anti-Rattle Adjustable Coupler

Plymouth, Mich.-based BULLDOG, a heavy-duty towing manufacturer, has designed the Rigid Mount Collar-Lok Coupler. Featuring an anti-rattle design to help eliminate movement while towing, a downward bias levels under load to improve articulation from the trailer to the tow vehicle. The coupler’s force transfer feature resists damage and extends service life.
Featuring one-tool installation using four bolts, a hexagonal depression prevents nut rotation during assembly.
Available in a 7,000-pound weight capacity with 2-inch ball (part #028584) and a 12,500-pound weight capacity with 2-5/15-inch ball (part #028585), both couplers carry a limited five-year warranty.
“We know our customers have experienced movement and rattling – it is a common phenomenon with adjustable couplers,” said Todd Walstrom, VP and GM of trailer and industrial products for Horizon Global. “To address this situation, we’ve created the first anti-rattle coupler in the industry. Now, users can focus on the road, rather than the distraction of the rattler of their trailer connection.”
