RV rentals are huge right now around Northern Nevada, with several companies running out of them, thanks to the yearly demand driven by the Burning Man gathering in Black Rock City.

“Last year we had 15 units,” Western Skies RV owner Bill Burko told ktvn.com. “This year we are fortunate enough to have grown. We have 40 units going out there this year.”

Burko says that all 40 of those RVs have been booked since March for the main Burning Man event Aug. 30 to Sept. 7. The price for renting these units for a week depends. However, the price ranges between $3,000-$7,000. He hires upward of 10 seasonal employees to keep up with the rush.

Burko says Northern Nevada as a whole benefits one way or the other when Burning Man comes to town.

“Pretty much I don’t know many businesses that are not touched economically from Burning Man,” he said. “It could be a repair shop, RV places, your grocery stores.”
