RVT.com, an Internet classifieds ad site for new and used RVs for sale, reported that its RV shopper traffic rose 18 percent in 2016 compared with one year prior, and that RV buyer email inquiries increased by 14 percent over the same time period.
“Current positive trends in RV consumer spending, combined with the new marketing initiatives we launched last year – including a major website redesign, advanced SEO upgrades, and increased consumer outreach through major advertising platforms – have resulted in a significant jump in RV shopper traffic and inquiries,” said Shawn Friesen, RVT.com vice president.
The company reported that in January, the website had 460,000 unique RV consumers visit us, up from 390,000 in January 2015. This new traffic means more leads and ultimately more sales for dealers and private sellers listing on RVT.
In mid-2015, RVT.com completed a major design update to its website, featuring larger high-resolution photographs and responsive design to improve site performance and functionality.
Friesen noted that RV buyers are still very active on the site, even though it is winter. “This is actually a great time for RV dealers and individual sellers to list their RVs for sale. Traffic and leads have spiked dramatically as of January 1, and based on past traffic trends, we expect a steady increase well into the summer months,” he said.
