California RV Bandits Arrested
Two Solano, Calif., men celebrated the new year in jail following arrests in connection with a stolen RV.
On New Year’s Eve, Solano sheriff’s deputies began investigating a report of the stolen travel trailer.

Inside were camping supplies, a registered handgun and a cell phone.
Hours later, deputies “pinged” the phone via satellite and were drawn to the 1200 block of Van Buren Street in Fairfield.
Upon their arrival, deputies spotted the trailer, now hooked up to a Ford pickup. Two men were unloading the RV, officials said.
Lorenzo Chavez-Sanchez, 36, of Suisun City, had the stolen phone in his possession, officials said.
The camping gear and gun were also recovered.
Chavez-Sanchez and Guillermo Echeverria Alcala, 46, of Fairfield, were subsequently arrested.
Chavez-Sanchez was booked into Solano County Jail on suspicion of vehicle theft, possession of a controlled substance, conspiracy, burglary, being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a felon in possession of ammunition and receiving stolen property.
Bail was set at $58,333.
