California Assemblyman James Gallagher honored fuel system supplier Transfer Flow recently at California Small Business Day, naming the Chico-based supplier the “Small Business of the Year” for the district.
“The team at Transfer Flow has been an incredible asset to the North State community. One of the reasons why I selected them for this honor is because of their successful efforts to increase the region’s skilled workforce,” Gallagher said. “I am pleased to honor Transfer Flow to help celebrate the success of their entrepreneurship as well as their dedication to producing the highest quality manufacturing products.”
California Small Business Day honored 85 small businesses for their contribution to the state’s economy. Small business contributes to 75 percent of California’s gross state product and over half of the state’s private sector jobs. From hardware stores to manufacturers, small businesses are engrained in California’s communities and economy.
“California’s small businesses are the economic engine of our state,” said Betty Jo Toccoli, President of the California Small Business Association. “Transfer Flow was celebrated for their successful small business and contributions to the community.”
