Campers Inn RV, the nation’s largest family-operated RV dealership group, acquired Roskopf’s RV Center in Richfield, Wis., as part of its nationwide dealership expansion strategy. With this acquisition, Campers Inn RV’s locations have increased to 29 dealerships across multiple U.S. regions.
“We are pleased to bring such a long-standing, highly-regarded RV dealership as Roskopf’s RV Center into the Campers Inn RV family. When I discovered that Roskopf’s had an even longer history than us of being a family-owned dealership, I knew it was a good match,” said Jeff Hirsch, owner and president of Campers Inn RV. “As a company, we are focused more than ever on the goal of becoming the RVer’s trusted resource for all RVers, while still holding on to the family-owned values that inspired my parents to start Campers Inn RV over 50 years ago. Our customer-centric values were well-aligned with the Roskopf family, and I look forward to a smooth transition for employees and customers.”
Roskopf’s RV Center offers an extensive selection of towable RVs and takes pride in its long-standing record of excellent customer service, its owners said. The RV center was founded in 1955 by Anthony and Diane Roskopf when they added RV sales to their existing Standard Oil gas station. For the past 12 years, the business has been operated by the founders’ sons, Gary and Brian Roskopf. In 2014, Roskopf’s RV relocated to Richfield and built a new 20-acre state-of-the-art facility off Interstate 41.
“We felt that aligning our dealership with Campers Inn RV and their great staff would give our location the opportunity to grow and expand, while continuing to serve our existing customer base and allow us to reach new customers,” said Gary Roskopf, owner of Roskopf’s RV Center. “Campers Inn RV has the same philosophy as my father when he started the business over 50 years ago, which is to provide a quality and value-driven product with superb customer care. We also wanted to make sure our employees would be taken care of, and Campers Inn RV has an incredible record of doing exactly that with their past acquisitions. I’m excited for the opportunity to grow with Campers Inn RV.”
With the addition of Roskopf’s, Campers Inn RV now has six locations in the Midwest, including dealerships in Davenport, Iowa; Naperville, Ill.; Clarksville, Ind., and Capital RV Centers in Bismarck and Minot, N.D.
