Campers Inn RV Completes Lazydays Acquisition, Expands National Footprint
Campers Inn RV announced that on Nov. 26 it completed the acquisition of Lazydays RV and is now officially operating the following locations: Tucson, Arizona (Airstream of Tucson); Ramsey, Minnesota (Airstream of Minnesota); Johnstown, Colorado; Knoxville, Tennessee (Airstream of Knoxville); St. George, Utah; Wilmington, Ohio and Seffner, Florida.
This acquisition marks one of the largest in RV industry history and expands Campers Inn RV’s nationwide presence to 51 dealership locations across 22 states, the dealership chain said.
The Tampa-area dealership in Seffner is now the only location to remain named Lazydays RV, and will serve the market under the name Lazydays RV powered by Campers Inn RV. The company has committed to growing the Tampa facility through numerous customer rallies, a reopened campground, enhanced service capabilities and an elevated dealership experience unique to the region.
The three Airstream locations will maintain the Airstream flag, and all other locations have transitioned to the Campers Inn RV brand.
With the addition of these Lazydays locations, customers of both Campers Inn RV and Lazydays will benefit from a larger coast-to-coast service network, a broader selection of new and pre-owned RVs, and the backing of a dealership group that has been family-owned and operated since 1966.
Jeff Hirsch, CEO of Campers Inn RV, said: “This acquisition represents far more than a business decision for me. It is a meaningful milestone in a journey that began when I was a child watching my parents, the founders of Campers Inn RV, dedicate themselves to building what started as a small family vision and has since grown nationally. Moments like this underscore the legacy they established and the responsibility we have to honor and continue it.
“When we looked at the Lazydays acquisition, it wasn’t just about expanding our footprint. It was about strengthening the resilience of the entire RV community. We saw a challenge that could have affected not just one company but the industry at large. Our goal was to ensure stability and continued trust for customers and partners alike.
“We are proud to welcome these Lazydays locations into the Campers Inn family. These stores have strong teams and loyal customers, and we are committed to providing them with long-term stability, resources, and support that define us as a family-owned company. My parents founded Campers Inn RV on a guiding principle: take care of your customers and your employees, and success will follow. This acquisition reflects that principle in action. We look forward to investing in these communities, supporting these employees, and continuing to grow with purpose, integrity, and a long-term commitment to the people we serve.”
Ben Hirsch, chief operating officer of Campers Inn RV, added: “Closing a transaction of this size on such an aggressive timeline was incredibly challenging, and it only happened because of the people involved,” said Ben Hirsch, COO of Campers Inn RV. “I am especially proud of the dozens of teammates across Campers Inn and Lazydays, together with our legal, banking, and vendor partners, whose hard work, late nights, heavy travel, and attention to detail over the past few months are the reason we were able to get this done.
“Now our job really begins, and we get to do what we do best, execute! Our focus is now on supporting our teams, investing in these stores, and delivering a consistent, high-quality experience for customers across the country. The speed of this deal is something we are proud of, but our success will be dependent on what we do together from here,” Hirsch said.
