Camping World Holdings has announced the purchase of an RV dealership in Michigan, and and construction of a new location in Missouri.

The company said it has agreed to acquire the Lloyd Bridges Traveland RV dealerships in Chelsea, Mich. The acquisition is anticipated to close early in 2022.

“We continue to pursue dealership acquisitions to expand our market share and we are excited to expand in Michigan, which has great RV demographics,” said Marcus Lemonis, CEO and chairman of Camping World Holdings. “We are honored to add an iconic family brand that has been providing exceptional customer service to RVers for over 55 years. The Lloyd Bridges acquisition strengthens our footprint and allows us to more effectively service our RV and outdoor customer base.”

Lloyd Bridges Traveland has two locations in Michigan, in the east and west portions of the greater Ann Arbor market, with access off I-94. They both will transition to the Camping World brand and be the company’s eighth and ninth locations in Michigan with more planned. The SuperCenters will include a wide range of new and used RVs from top manufacturers in addition to a full assortment of RV and outdoor products and accessories.

Camping World has also announced a new development in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

The company is building a new facility on approximately 12 acres of land near that southeast  Missouri city. The property is located just off Interstate 55 and will be the retailer’s fifth facility in the state of Missouri. The anticipated opening is summer of 2022.

“We are excited to expand in the southeastern area of Missouri which is filled with such natural attractions, history and cultural significance,” said Lemonis. “Each new location we open across the U.S. represents significant economic impact for the communities and convenient customer service and products for the 5.5 million active customers we serve.”

When construction is complete, the Cape Girardeau SuperCenter will be approximately 33,000 square feet, which includes 10,500 square feet of retail space and 14 service bays.
