Canada’s largest RV dealership group continued its expansion with the addition of one dealership and its first campground. Leisure Days RV Group has acquired Hiemstra Trailer Sales, located in London, Ontario, and also Happy Green Acres Campground in Mallorytown, Ontario. This brings the number of dealerships within the Leisure Days RV Group to 28.
“Hiemstra Trailer Sales was started in the backyard of my parents’ home in 1966 and has been our family business for over 50 years,” said Wayne Hiemstra, owner. “I am pleased to sell to the Leisure Days RV Group because I am confident that they will continue to provide our RV customers with the same great service that they have become accustomed to from our great team at Hiemstra.”
Established in 1971, Happy Green Acres Campground is located southwest of Brockville, Ontario, near the St. Lawrence River. It sits on 15 acres with149 campsites, many with three-way hookups including sewer, water and 30-amp hydro. It is an adult-focused campground specializing in seasonal, group and event camping. Amenities include a fiberglass salt water heated pool, horseshoes, cornhole, and a clubhouse with billiards, darts, ping pong and a lounge area.
Happy Green Acres also hosts six camping/music festivals featuring ’50s and ’60s rock-n-roll, country, blues and classic rock. It’s only 10 minutes from a boat ramp to access the world-famous 1000 Islands.
