Canada’s Traveland RV Expands Vancouver Island Presence

Traveland RV announced that it is opening its second location on Vancouver Island, along with Traveland RV Cowichan Valley to provide extended service to Island customers. Starting Nov. 1, Traveland RV is expanding to Nanoose Bay with the acquisition of Big Boy’s Toys, strengthening its position as Canada’s largest RV dealership, the company said in a release.

“Big Boys Toys is a natural fit with brands like Jayco, Northern Lite and Leisure Travel Vans as we continue our strategic growth strategy throughout Western Canada. The two island locations will serve customers in the south and north parts of Vancouver Island,” said Chris Clarke, managing director of Traveland RV Group.

Traveland RV opened its first Vancouver Island location in January 2022 by acquiring Greg’s RVs in Cowichan Valley (Duncan). Since then, Traveland RV has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from its Cowichan customers, the company said, earning a 4.7-star rating on Google from over 300 reviews.

“Traveland has been our go to RV dealer on the Island as we regularly visit family. Always friendly and helpful, the staff are professional and knowledgeable. A quality business where customer service is prioritized,” said Wayne W. in a customer review.

With its Duncan location being one of our top-rated dealerships and conveniently situated between Victoria and Nanaimo, the company was eager to expand its reach and make it easier for customers in northern/central Vancouver Island to experience the same Traveland RV service.

The new Nanoose Bay location carries Jayco RVs, one of Traveland RV’s most trusted and popular brands, the company said. “As a Gold Circle Jayco Dealer since 2007, we’re excited to bring this award-winning lineup closer to our Island customers. Now you’ll have access to a wide variety of Jayco-brand travel trailers, fifth wheels and motorhomes.”

With over 150 provincial parks, 2 national parks, and countless recreational and private campgrounds across Vancouver Island, there’s no shortage of places to explore. And now, with two Traveland RV locations conveniently situated just outside the island’s two largest cities, Traveland RV said it’s here to provide expert RV support wherever your journey takes you. “Whether you’re purchasing your first RV or stopping in for an emergency service, our team is dedicated to delivering an unbeatable experience every time.”

“Acquiring our new location in Nanoose Bay allows us to join with our Duncan location to better serve the island, offer more selection, and continue our journey being your affordable, reusable vacation specialists — simply unbeatable since 1977,” Traveland RV said.
