CDK Global, a leading automotive retail software provider, today announced Brian P. MacDonald has been appointed acting president and CEO. MacDonald succeeds Brian Krzanich, who is stepping down.
“We are pleased to welcome Brian MacDonald, a respected executive with deep expertise in automotive retail, back to CDK,” said Doug Bayerd, director of CDK Global’s Board of Directors. “He joins an experienced team to help enhance CDK’s value proposition for its customers.”
MacDonald was CDK Global’s president and CEO between 2016 and late 2018, overseeing a transformation effort which created a solid foundation for future growth. Prior to CDK, he served as president and CEO for a diverse set of companies including Hertz and Sunoco.
