CHaSE Manufacturing Acquires Native Hardwoods

CHaSE Manufacturing

CHaSE Manufacturing has acquired Elkhart-Indiana-based wood component manufacturer Native Hardwoods, bringing together two of the most complete RV wood product suppliers in the region, the companies said.

Founded by Jim and Judi Edmundson and Rick Milanese in 1983, Native Hardwoods’ reputation in the RV industry has long been the gold standard for quality wood components, according to its new parent company. Native’s work can be seen in several of the top-selling Diesel Class A and Class C product lines.

“After 40 years it’s time for the current ownership to retire,” said Jim Edmundson. “The transfer of ownership to Zack (Nickell) and his team will provide a combination of talent and resources that is best for our customers, employees, and suppliers.”

This acquisition brings CHaSE Manufacturing to a total of nearly 250 employees across four production facilities that provide high-quality wood components to the RV industry.

“We appreciate Jim, Judi and Rick’s confidence in us to continue Native in the same manner it has operated for the last 40 years, bringing high quality products and a great reputation to the market,” Nickell said. “We now have two completely separate operations, each with their own strengths, that will have the ability to learn and grow from one another while not compromising any of the expectations of our customers. Both companies will operate autonomously and will focus on improving through identifying complimenting capacities and experiences that can help better serve our customers.”
