Chinook RV Adds New Floorplan to Bayside Lineup
Chinook RV has added a new floorplan to its Bayside Class B models: the Bayside TB.
The floorplan offers twin beds that combine into a queen, while maintaining the spacious dry bath featured in the SS floorplan that went into production last year.
The Bayside is built on the Ford Transit Van, with options including all-wheel drive.
“We here at Chinook are all excited to see the release of this floorplan,” said Seth Buchheit, a sales rep with Chinook. “It answers a lot of feedback and gives us more to offer our potential customers that are interested in this type of layout.”
The TB’s interior is open, spacious and built with quality in-mind, the company said, starting with a strong foundation: the Advantech 3/4-inch one-piece flooring system and 3/8-inch plywood walls that are handcrafted and wrapped with a soft touch padded vinyl. The cabinets are CNC cut and assembled together in Chinook’s cabinet shop; and they house the 6.2-cubic-foot Norcold refrigerator, convection microwave oven and plenty of storage.
The kitchen also features solid surface countertops, a heavy-duty flip-up countertop for the induction cooktop when cooking and a cabinet for its storage when not in use.
Off-grid amenities include 200 watts of solar, 400-amp hours of battery and a Cummins generator that pulls from the gas tank – all standard. For air conditioning, the company uses a Dometic 13.5-kilowatt unit and for heat the Truma Combi system. The water heater and furnace are integrated to save space. It also has 30 gallons of freshwater storage.
