Chinook RV announced a new partnership with Poulsbo RV in Washington state.
The dealership will carry all of Chinook’s motorized brands, Summit, Maverick and Bayside, with first delivery just in time for Washington’s Tacoma RV show, scheduled Jan. 19-22.
“This a big milestone for us as we build-up our existing dealer network to represent our motorized products we have in production,” said Seth Buchheit, Chinook’s factory representative, who will attend the Tacoma show on behalf of Poulsbo RV.
“It’s no secret that Chinook is a noticeable brand with a lot of followers, especially in the Northwest market, where Chinook was previously produced. It’s our mentality to build a high-quality coach just like Chinook was before. No corners will be cut because our customers demand quality,” the company said.
Chinook RV has manufactured RVs since 1938, starting as a brand-name truck camper by Mair & Sons, produced in California. Over the next 30 years, Mair & Son relocated to Union Gap, Washington, where they would build small travel trailers, pick-up campers and chassis-mounted RVs. Mair & Sons later developed into Chinook Mobi-lodge company in the mid-60s. Chinook has established themselves in Peru, Indiana, bosting nearly 200,000 square feet of manufacturing facilities on a 30-plus acre compound. Currently, it produces four motorhomes. “If a true four-seasons RV is something you’re looking for, you don’t want to miss the new AWD Maverick at the Tacoma RV show,” the company said. “We look forward to a strong relationship with Poulsbo in the Northwest to fulfill the needs of the Chinook RV enthusiasts.”
