Coachmen Intros American Spirit Travel Trailers for US Market
Coachmen RV, a division of Forest River, has introduced American Spirit, a new travel trailer line developed specifically for the U.S. market.

Built on the same foundation as Northern Spirit, Coachmen’s successful Canada-focused lineup, American Spirit delivers the same layouts and construction through a brand identity created specifically for American campers, Coachmen said in a recent release.
Northern Spirit will continue serving the Canadian market, where the lineup has built strong recognition and customer loyalty. With American Spirit, Coachmen said it saw an opportunity to introduce a companion identity tailored to U.S. campers while maintaining the trusted product foundation customers already know. The new identity reflects the culture, traditions and evolving lifestyle of the modern American RV traveler.
Rather than creating an entirely separate product, Coachmen strategically refined the branding, exterior styling and market positioning to create a more regionally connected experience for customers across North America. The refreshed exterior design reflects the freedom, adventure and spirit of the American road while preserving the features and functionality that made the lineup successful, the company said.
Having launched just ahead of Memorial Day and during the lead-up to America’s 250th anniversary, American Spirit arrives at a time when more families are reconnecting with the outdoors, road travel and the traditions that make camping uniquely personal.
“At its core, this is about recognizing the customer and the market we’re speaking to,” said Andy Brock, general manager of Coachmen RV. “Northern Spirit has developed strong recognition in Canada, and American Spirit allows us to create that same connection for U.S. campers with a name and visual identity that feels familiar and right at home.”

“We’re not changing what made this lineup successful; we’re just bringing it to the U.S. market in a way that feels more connected to the American camper,” Brock added. “American Spirit is all about simple, worthwhile life on the road with features that make it easier for families to get out, relax and enjoy the experience. We wanted the name and look to feel like it truly belongs here.”
