Coachmen Launches ‘Fill a Remote RV’ Food Drive To Support Middlebury Community
Coachmen RV, a division of Forest River Inc. and a longtime member of the Middlebury, Indiana, community, announced its upcoming food drive in partnership with the Middlebury Food Pantry.
The “Fill a Remote RV” Food Drive will run from Monday, Nov. 10 through Friday, Nov. 14 at noon, with a Coachmen Remote RV stationed in front of Plant 10 set up to collect donations.
The mission of the initiative is simple yet impactful: completely fill a Coachmen Remote RV with non-perishable food and essential hygiene items. All items donated will be delivered to the Middlebury Food Pantry to help local families in the area during the holidays.
Employees and the community are encouraged to take part by bringing in nonperishable food and personal care supplies throughout the week. Each division will collect items in a central location and deliver them to the Coachmen Remote RV by noon on Friday, Nov. 14. You can help by dropping off items Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.
To make the event even more engaging, Coachmen has added a fun incentive: the division contributing the most donations will have the chance to “pie” their general manager in the face. If the goal of completely filling the Remote RV is met, the winning division will earn the honor of “pieing” Coachmen President Bob Dumm.
The Middlebury Food Pantry, which serves local families weekly, provides critical support through groceries and hygiene essentials. Suggested donation items include canned meats and soups, boxed meals, cereals, rice, pasta and baking staples, along with personal care products such as shampoo, toothpaste, and laundry detergent.
“Coachmen has always been about more than RVs — it’s about people,” said Dumm. “This food drive couldn’t come at a better time. So many families are feeling the strain right now, and we’re proud to support the Middlebury Food Pantry in helping our neighbors get through the season. The friendly competition makes it fun, but the real win is helping our families right here in Middlebury.”
