Coachmen RV, a division of Forest River Inc., announced the return of a beloved classic with the launch of the Freedom Express Liberty Edition. This all-new offering revives one of Coachmen’s most recognized travel trailer lines, reimagined for today’s modern camper, according to a press release.
Built on the proven Freedom Express platform, the Liberty Edition combines elevated styling, upgraded features and exceptional livability into a premium package that honors its heritage while embracing the future of camping, the company said.
“The Liberty name has a strong legacy in our history, and bringing it back was about more than just a nameplate,” said Mike Kaiser, general manager of Coachmen. “We saw an opportunity to reintroduce a product line that stood for comfort, freedom, and pride in ownership, but do it in a way that aligns with today’s expectations for design and performance.”
Available exclusively at U.S. dealers, key enhancements in the Liberty Edition include distinctive exterior graphics, premium interior finishes, exclusive Liberty badging, and a curated package of features aimed at streamlining setup and elevating the overall camping experience, the company said. The Liberty Edition has launched with two floorplans: the 330BHJJ, a spacious bunkhouse model ideal for families, and the 330RKS, a well-appointed couples coach. While the edition will ultimately include four floorplans, the final two have not yet been announced, as the current focus remains on delivering a successful launch of the existing models, according to a press release.
Coachmen is also introducing a Maple Edition, a Canada-exclusive version of the Liberty Edition, tailored for the unique needs and preferences of Canadian RV buyers. This version will be available through select Canadian Coachmen dealers beginning in late fall 2025.
