Commission Gives Blue Star RV a Green Light
Blue Star RV in the San Bernardino Valley in California hits the local market with a planning commission approval just as RV sales are soaring nationwide during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The RV Industry Association reports 46 million Americans will plan to take an RV vacation within the next year.
On Aug. 25, Blue Star RV received a two-year temporary use permit to sell new RVs at 7520 La Honda Way (Yucca Valley, Calif.). It’s perfect timing in a hot market for RV sales, but commissioners did have reservations.
“We’re willing to take a shot, but we’re going to ask for updates,” said Chairman Brad Napientek.
Blue Star RV co-owner Tracy Kolari was present for the meeting and addressed many of the commission’s questions and concerns.
“We thought there was already a temporary use permit,” Kolari said.

He told the commission he and fellow owner Glenn Koverman, a Lancaster resident, plan to build a permanent structure on the property within the next two years.
“We feel that it would be an attractive addition,” Kolari said.
