Dragonfly Energy and Battle Born Batteries has started a Go Fund Me campaign for a couple in Magalia, Calif., who recently lost their home in the 2018 Camp Fire. Vietnam Veteran, Jim McGhee and his wife, Marie grabbed their 9-year-old Yorkie and headed for safety, leaving their home and all of their memories behind. The companies have agreed to match the $10,000 campaign, dollar for dollar.
“At first you just feel shock, then you feel glad you made it out and then every day you are reminded of something else that you lost, it does not come all at once so it’s hard to comprehend,” said Marie McGhee. “Then you try to think about what you will do.”
With a total of 14,000 homes lost and 88 lives taken, Dragonfly Energy and Battle Born Batteries have stated how important it is to make a difference for this family.
