Community: Jersey RV Show & Food Drive Begins April 20

The Annual Central Jersey RV Show and Food Drive is celebrating its 27th year and expects to break last year’s record crowd and food donations. The dates for this year’s event are Friday, April 20-22. Show hours are 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday.

This year’s show will feature a huge selection of travel trailers, fifth wheels, gas and diesel-powered motorhomes. Admission is free with a non-perishable food donation for Fulfill, formerly the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean County.

“For over twenty-six years we have had the pleasure of leading this initiative to aid the Foodbank. This team effort between business and the RV community is a truly rewarding experience,” said Walter Hynes, GM of Scott Motor Coach RV Center of Lakewood. The food will be sorted and distributed throughout the Fullfill’s network of food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other programs in the community. Programs such as Child Nutrition, Senior Food Programs, Nutrition Education and a Mobile Food Pantry are just some of the services that the Foodbank provides.

This year’s goal is to exceed seven thousand pounds of non-perishable food donations in lieu of admission.
