Community: Little Dealer Little Prices Gifts Hundreds of Toys
Prescott Valley, Arizona-based Little Dealer Little Prices, a Campers Inn RV company, donated more than 55,000 pounds of toys and books to local families during the third annual “Campers Inn Christmas Toy Giveaway.”
The community’s donations were able to fill two tractor trailers. Nearly 900 children and 355 adults were able to receive presents. Each child was able to pick one big toy and as many stocking stuffers, books and small toys as they could carry. The adults were also given gifts and food items.
“Our first year we had a smaller Christmas toy giveaway, and we were overwhelmed by the number of children and families that showed up,” said Danny Sampson, general manager. “They were grateful, as were their moms and dads. Many parents told us that this would be the only real toy their kids were getting, due to financial reasons. That’s when we realized we needed to expand. We are blessed by the event as much as the kids are.”
The community also played a pivotal part in making this toy drive a huge success for the hundreds of children. All year long, Little Dealer Little Prices and Real Hope Charities collected items for this massive giveaway.
The Prescott Valley Police and Fire Departments and mayor also came out to help distribute gifts to the families. After all the families at the dealership had received toys, about a quarter of the donations were still leftover, so the remaining toys were given to other organizations.
Little Dealer Little Prices is now planning its largest annual charitable giving event, the “Campers Inn RV Back-to-School Drive.” Last year, 1,500 children and 600 adults benefited from the drive, and the company said it wants to make the 2023 drive bigger than ever.
