Community: ‘Survivor’ Celebrity Attends Dealership Fundraiser
Mount Comfort RV recently hosted 150 guests at the 15th annual “Tuxes and Tennies” fundraiser for Rupert’s Kids held in its newly opened showroom and sales center in Indianapolis.
Mount Comfort RV is a longtime supporter of Rupert Boneham who is best known as a contestant on television’s Survivor series and for his work with troubled youth.
Guests enjoyed a buffet dinner, live music, dancing and numerous raffles hosted by Boneham himself.
The event raised nearly $25,000 for his nonprofit organization that takes individuals who have been released from correctional facilities and helps them become active and contributing members of society.
Boneham gained celebrity status after appearing on the television program Survivor: Pearl Island. He later appeared on Survivor: America’s Tribal Council and used a large percentage of his winnings to establish “Rupert’s Kids” to help at risk kids.
Boneham was the 2012 libertarian nominee for governor of Indiana losing to Republican nominee and future Vice President Mike Pence.
