Cooper Standard recently released Fortrex, a patented material platform that offers a lightweight static weatherseal solution.
Fortrex has a weight savings of up to 30 percent versus traditional EPDM, and avoids the compression set issues associated with TPV, resulting in improved sealing systems and reduced cabin noise. It also can be accurately colored-matched.
The weatherseal is non-conductive and has a low carbon footprint across the entire material and production chain.
