CoverSeal Releases RV Rodent Protection
Rodent damage to RVs or camper vans can be costly to repair, but many covers provide little to no protection to block rodents from accessing wiring under the vehicle. CoverSeal has created one of the first rodent-blocking skirts for RVs and camper vans.

CoverSeal RV skirts feature a patented Ground Seal technology. A weighted ring at the bottom of the skirt form fits and seals to the ground to help stop rodents from getting under the vehicle and chewing on wiring.
CoverSeal RV Skirts are constructed with a heavy-duty DWR-coated polyester, ripstop fabric that can withstand the elements and long-term outdoor storage. The design of the CoverSeal RV Skirts makes it easy to use and flexible to fit a variety of RV and camper van sizes. The skirt can be used with any existing cover RV owners already own. It fits over the existing cover and sits securely over the bumpers of the vehicle. In addition to keeping out rodents, the CoverSeal RV Skirt also blocks dirt and debris from blowing under the vehicle and under the cover, which usually falls short of the ground and doesn’t provide total protection. During colder months, the CoverSeal RV Skirt can provide additional insulation to the underside of the vehicle, helping to keep out cold drafts so floors feel warmer.
“I originally began making CoverSeal products for cars after my personal vehicle was targeted twice by mice. The repair bills totaled several thousands of dollars when all was said and done, and I knew there had to be a better way than the methods I had tried before,” said Ken Huening, CoverSeal inventor and CEO. “The weighted ring that sits on the ground is heavy enough to stop a mouse or rat from lifting the cover to get under a vehicle. For people who travel full-time in an RV or camper van, this is a great product to use while parked at a campground. And for those road warriors who only make it out a few times a year, this is a must-have for when your vehicle is sitting in storage. No one wants to have a trip ruined by a rodent who chewed through a starter cable or brake line.”
