CRVA Holds Annual Meeting, Elects 2025-26 Exec Committee
The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) convened to hold its 50th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 28 at the Holman Grand Hotel in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
The milestone event brought together CRVA members and Canadian RV and camping partners to address issues currently impacting the industry and to celebrate their half-century milestone, the association said.
Key discussions included:
The board discussed the continued impact of U.S. tariffs on Canadian-manufactured motorhomes and Canada’s counter-tariffs on U.S. RV imports. CRVA reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for a resolution and presented updated talking points and letters of support to advance the conversation with both governments.
Also on the agenda were discussions involving upcoming federal requirements related to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and reporting obligations of Canadian entities. The board discussed engaging an environmental consultant to assist CRVA and their members with navigating through these new regulations. More on this will follow.
The meeting featured updates on CRVA’s national 50th Anniversary celebration, including the ongoing cross-country tour of the wrapped General Coach travel trailer being raffled in support of the Care Camps Foundation. Funds raised will help send children affected by cancer to specialized oncology camps, reinforcing CRVA’s commitment to its community and charitable giving in 2025.
Directors recognized the positive reception of the expanded Canadian RV and Camping Month campaign, encouraging Canadians to explore Canada and our Campgrounds while embracing the RV lifestyle throughout the month of June.
CRVA industry partner presentations:
- Cyrus Irani, Go RVing Canada’s director of digital strategy, shared updates on the organization’s national marketing strategy including https://rvthenorthgiveaway.com/and ongoing efforts to promote RV travel to a wider audience.
- Ken Dobson, vice-chair of the RVDA of Canada, spoke about dealer challenges as a result of the threat of tariffs and the importance of alignment across associations to strengthen industry advocacy efforts. RVDA is also emphasizing the importance of RV technician recruitment and training in their advocacy.

The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association also announced the re-election of Marty Bloemberg of GLP Products, as chairman of the board for the 2025–2026 term. Bloemberg has served the association with commitment and vision during his tenure, and the association looks forward to his continued leadership as CRVA celebrates its 50th Anniversary Year and navigates through a transformative time for the RV industry.

At their AGM, Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association’s members also passed a resolution to amend the association’s bylaws to increase the maximum allowable number of directors from 18 to 24. This change anticipates a need in scope to address the future requirements of the association and shall take effect immediately, it said.
As CRVA marks its 50th year, the association said it continues to champion the interests of its members and the broader RV industry through advocacy, collaboration, education and public engagement and looks forward to a bright future where we are all united in its goals.
