The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association reports that RV wholesale shipments into Canada for the 1st quarter totaled 13,852 units, compared to 8,634 in 2020. That’s an increase of 60.4 percent year-over-year.
The RV and camping industry in Canada significantly increased in awareness to new consumers in 2020 during the pandemic and high consumer demand for the lifestyle has continued into 2021.
CRVA is forecasting that “while increased production and improving supply chain issues will assist RV retailers to finalize presold units, it will not be sufficient to significantly replenish their current low inventory levels. We expect that demand from Canadian RV enthusiasts will still exceed supply throughout most of 2021.”
