On June 16, CURT Mfg. reached the highest level of quality certification in the automotive industry, the ISO/TS 16949 Standard Certification.

The certification process began in December 2014, with an audit of CURT’s Eau Claire, Wis., facility from Registrar Smithers Quality Assessments. This review was held to evaluate and to confirm the ability of CURT Mfg. to meet the ISO/TS 16949 standard.

In January this year, a design validation audit took place at the Wixom Engineering facility, and the final audit was completed during the week of March 16 at the Eau Claire facility.

On June 24, CURT received the TS certificate of approval for design, development and manufacturing of hitches and towing products.

“CURT Mfg. stands for excellence in our products and our associates,” Daryll Sukhbir, director of quality at CURT said. “CURT has a culture that rises to the challenge and achieves outstanding results. We continue to raise our standard for our Aftermarket and Original Equipment Customers.”
