REDARC Releases More Vehicle-Specific Harnesses & Accessories for the Tow-Pro Range

Sponsored by REDARC

Brake controller installations on new vehicles are becoming more complex with limited space. REDARC now has the full suite of accessories to suit the full list of towing vehicles in North America.

REDARC’s Mounting Bracket provides versatility where space may be limited to install the Tow Pro’s main unit and the option of the Tow Pro Encapsulated Diode ensures the Tow Pro works flawlessly with all modern vehicles.

This release includes 8 brand new vehicle-specific wiring harnesses for a multitude of vehicles, to increase the already wide range of REDARC plug & play installation kits.

The second inclusion is the REDARC Tow-Pro Mounting Kit, which simplifies the installation of the brake controller main unit under the dash of a vehicle where space is limited. It is designed to fasten the main unit with 2 x M4 (1/8”) bolts either at right angles, in-line or diagonally across the main unit. It also features an M6 (1/4’’) slot and nut/bolt allowing connection to the vehicle on a suitable M6 (1/4’’) stud or M6 hole.

The new REDARC Tow-Pro Encapsulated Protection Device is used in modern vehicles equipped with Can Bus systems, driver aids & Advanced Safety Systems (e.g. Adaptive Cruise Control, Assisted Emergency Braking and Autonomous Emergency Braking). It has been designed to fit in the trailer stop lamp feed to support the installation of the Tow-Pro Electric Brake Controller on vehicles where ‘back-feed’ of 12V (during Tow-Pro Manual Override) may interfere with vehicle systems.

It ensures correct trailer braking and stop lamp operation when the vehicle brakes or the Tow-Pro Manual Override is used.

It is suitable for General Purpose use and rated at 7 Amps for both 12 and 24V applications. It is totally encapsulated with sealed connections. It is also capable of supporting a maximum 7 Amps at a maximum ambient temperature of 85°C / 185°F.

The Tow-Pro Elite is the most innovative brake controller on the market, with industry-leading selectable modes of braking, ‘Proportional’ for everyday towing and ‘User-controlled’ for all-terrain driving.
