David Mihalick, the senior director of vehicle safety and regulatory compliance for Thor Industries, has been announced as a special guest speaker at the upcoming 2017 RV Technical Education & Safety Conference.

The announcement came from Walter Cannon, executive director of the RV Safety & Education Foundation (RVSEF).

A 16-year RV Industry veteran, Mihalick serves actively on many RV-related technical and standards committees.

“We are excited and pleased that David will be coming to the conference this year,” stated Cannon. “He is the guy when it comes to, not only knowing RV standards and safety, but how to explain them in layman’s terms.”

Mihalick will be addressing many topics of interest for all RVers such as:

  • How RV dealers are quite different from automobile dealers
  • What to expect from your RV dealer
  • How to handle issues with your RV
  • What laws RVers need to comply with
  • Comparing an RV to a residential house
  • Specific standards RVs are built to
  • How Thor Industries addresses vehicle safety and code compliance

The 2017 RV Technical Education & Safety Conference will be held Oct. 1 to 5 in Elizabethtown, Ky., at the Pritchard Community Center.
