Dealership Pours $1 Million Into Green Remodel

Folsom Lake RV is investing close to $1 million dollars in improvements to its current facility along Highway 50 in Cordova, Calif., adding solar shade structures and charging stations. The improvements will also add more positions available for its RV Technician Apprenticeship Program.

Improvements have already begun with the addition of two vehicle lifts, installing two roof safety harness systems for RV roof repairs, and replacing and adding new fencing. Plans also include grading and paving the gravel storage lot to create a dedicated service lot and expand its inventory capacity. The dealership will remain open during construction.

“I started Folsom Lake RV 35 years ago, as a RV repair service,” said Charles Langdon, president and co-owner of Folsom Lake RV. “Our success has been due to our commitment to our customers and their RVs, especially after they purchase their RVs. We are continually striving to create a better RV experience for our customers.”

Several years ago, the dealership implemented new electronic technology in its service department to help streamline service operations with tablets for technicians to communicate wirelessly with the database systems, and between service and parts departments.

“By utilizing available space in a different way, we can employ more technicians and service wait times will decrease, which is a critical component in customer care,” said Langdon. “We want people out fully enjoying their RVs.”
