Dometic Acquires Valterra Products
Sweden’s Dometic has announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire Valterra Products, a leading North American provider of service and aftermarket products primarily to the RV market.
The RV industry accounts for almost 90 percent of Valterra’s sales, including service and aftermarket products, consumables and accessories. The company had sales of $94 million in 2020.
Dometic said it expects the acquisition will help it grow its position in the areas of service and aftermarket, as well increasing its presence in the fast-growing mobile solar power market through its Go Power! products.
Founded in 1981, Valterra has approximately 550 employees with offices in California, Florida and British Columbia and has its own manufacturing facility in Mexico.
“I am pleased to welcome Valterra and its employees to Dometic,” said Juan Vargues, president and CEO of Dometic. “This acquisition is part of our strategy of strengthening our service and aftermarket position in the growing outdoor industry. Valterra complements our product portfolio and strengthens our offer to make Dometic even more relevant to our current and future customers.”
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
