Dometic Announces Improvements to Awning Business
Dometic said it has been working hard to overhaul the stocking, manufacturing and delivery practices surrounding its RV awnings, and in doing so it has reduced waste, decreased delivery times and increased overall efficiency o better serve customers.
Dometic said it has improved its manufacturing processes by optimizing the total number of SKUs. As a result, the company has reported a reduced margin of error while increasing its overall manufacturing efficiency. By implementing a dedicated fleet of trucks solely for RV awnings, the team has significantly reduced travel time to its Goshen, Indiana, warehouse, where they maintain inventory to ensure the fastest and most consistent delivery times to customers.
“We’ve implemented these changes to uphold the standard of quality customers expect from Dometic” said Tom Montague, vice president of RVOEM Sales at Dometic. “With a dedicated fleet, warehouse, and revamped manufacturing and stocking processes, we’ve acted on our customers’ feedback, and we are proud to push Dometic’s RV awning legacy forward. We are here to stay.”
