Dometic Cooler Wins Red Dot Award
The Red Dot Jury has given the Dometic CFX3 powered cooler/freezer a Red Dot Award for product design.
Dometic’s portable fridge/freezer, the Dometic CFX3 series, is powered by AC, DC, or solar, and has a variable-speed compressor cooling with optimized VMSO3 software to help ensure energy efficiency and a cooling performance capable of reaching minus 7 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures are adjustable using the high-resolution color display screen or remotely with the Dometic mobile app. Its lightweight fender frames protect the cooler in tough environments while strong, spring-loaded aluminum handles make it easy to carry, according to the company.
“We listen to what the consumer really wants and developed the Dometic CFX3,” said Dr. Anton Lundqvist, CTO, Dometic Group. “Active people on adventures still want fresh and healthy food without having to limit the time they spend off the grid. It is great to see our Dometic CFX3’s smart and beautiful design backed by our industry-leading technology has won the Red Dot.”
“The winners of the Red Dot Award have proved that they have created excellent products worthy of winning an award,” said Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot. “The products won over the jury not only through their aesthetic, but also thanks to their incomparable functionality. With their designs, the award winners are setting new standards in their industry. I wish to congratulate them most sincerely on their success.”
On June 22, Dometic CFX3 will be added to the exhibition “Design on Stage” in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen, where all of the award-winning products will be on show.
