Dometic will unveil its latest innovation at the Elkhart Open House next week – a 48-volt air conditioner. Designed to run seamlessly on lithium battery power, the company said that the unit sets new standards for off-grid comfort and mobile power solutions in RV builds.
Pairing the 48V Air Conditioner by Dometic with the Go Power! PowerBoard and advanced lithium batteries makes powering this off-grid solution easy, the company said.
“This joint project between the AC and Go Power! teams to create a product ensures the customer has what they need to be comfortable off-grid,” said Brent Clark, business development manager – RVO for Dometic. “What we are able to offer now is really a full-circle solution.”
Key Features of the 48V Air Conditioner by Dometic include a dual power source, meaning battery and solar power, a high cooling capacity and energy efficiency.
Go Power!’s advanced lithium batteries can run the 48-volt AC on battery power alone. Recharging the batteries off-grid is made easy by adding solar power and the PowerBoard.
“We have heard a need from our Elkhart partners that power systems can be complicated and time-consuming to install. These PowerBoards take the guesswork out of it and drastically shorten the install time,” said Mark Spilsbury, division manager – RV for Go Power!
New for 2024 model years, PowerBoards are customizable mobile power systems that can be installed in minutes, not hours. PowerBoards come completely wired and tested to minimize installation and maximize efficiency.
