Dometic Opens Elkhart County Distribution Center

Dometic announced the opening of a new distribution center in Bristol, Indiana, located in Elkhart County.
Holding approximately $35 million in inventory and employing up to 40 team members, Bristol is designed to enhance manufacturing and reinforce Dometic’s commitment to innovation, the company said.
The facility will serve as Dometic’s flagship distribution hub for OEM and SAM (serviceable available market) customers across all RV-related products. By consolidating operations to Elkhart County, Dometic is positioned to provide the best service at an optimal cost while reducing lead times for most customers.
“By consolidating our distribution operations to Elkhart County, Dometic is positioned to better service the industry through shorter lead-times” said Tim Hall, regional president of the Land Vehicle America segment. “We anticipate efficiency gains that will allow Dometic to optimize overall distribution costs.”

The Industrial Parkway facility will continue to house awning manufacturing and distribution while still servicing Commercial and Passenger Vehicle customers, ensuring operational continuity.
“Our focus is to serve,” said Eric Brown, director of Land Vehicle Americas OEM sales. “This new warehousing and distribution center shows Dometic’s commitment to the RV industry. We are here to better our stance by increasing stock of commonly sold items, but also by providing expedited lead times.”
Advantages of the Bristol Distribution Center:
The Bristol facility gives the space and infrastructure to stay future-focused. The facility provides:
- 20 docks for faster shipping and receiving
- Rail service for direct container shipments from Asia
- 42-foot eave height to maximize storage capacity
- Security controls for truck drivers’ access to the building
- Maximized distribution footprint versus office space
This move marks a major milestone for Dometic as it’s setting the stage for better service, streamlined processes, and long-term growth. Dometic is committed to better serving its customers, it said.
