Dometic Sales Team Participates in RVTI Technician Training

Elkhart, Ind.-based RV products maker Dometic announced that it has become the first major supplier to have its entire sales team participate in the RV Technical Institute’s Level 1 Certified Technician Training Course.

The company said that its aftermarket sales team took advantage of the time it had off the road because of stay-at-home orders surrounding COVID-19 to undergo the training. Each member of the team has received two weeks of virtual interactive training and will begin their testing to be certified as a Level 1 RV Technician. Dometic said it is now the only major supplier in the RV industry to have their full sales team participate and begin testing for certification in this area.

The training program, consisting of seven courses and 11 modules, was delivered in four-hour increments on a daily basis via interactive classes through Zoom. The hands-on labs were demonstrated online during the class and the participants then performed these labs on their own.

Dometic said it is committed to providing optimal service and ensuring team members are well trained to meet customer needs. The opportunity to participate in the RVTI course virtually allowed the broader sales team to improve its technical knowledge and have a more in-depth understanding of the technical portion of the RV business.
