Donati Family, Nexus RV Pledge $20K Match To Support YWCA Safe Haven
YWCA North Central Indiana (YWCANCIN) announced a $20,000 year-end matching gift from the Claude and Lisa Donati family and their company, Nexus RV. The gift will support the YWCA’s holiday fundraising campaign for the Safe Haven emergency shelter in Elkhart. This heartfelt commitment will double the impact of every gift made through Dec. 31, helping ensure that survivors in Elkhart County receive the safety, shelter and support they need during one of the most vulnerable times of the year, YWCA said in a release.
For years, the Donati family and Nexus RV have been trusted partners and compassionate advocates for the YWCA’s mission. That commitment to community was on full display in 2022, when Nexus RV rallied dozens of employees to renovate the Safe Haven Shelter in Elkhart. Their team rolled up their sleeves and donated their time, skills and resources to make the shelter brighter, safer and more welcoming for women and children rebuilding their lives after abuse, YWCA said.
By offering this special $20,000 holiday match, the Donati family hopes to lift up survivors and encourage others to join them in giving hope where it’s needed most. The gift amplifies every donor’s gift by matching it dollar for dollar up to the $20,000 pledge.
“We believe in supporting people where they are — and the YWCA’s mission aligns deeply with our values,” said Claude Donati. “This is a way for us to stand with survivors in Elkhart County and remind them that their community cares.”
Amy Hill, CEO of YWCA North Central Indiana, expressed heartfelt gratitude. “We are so incredibly thankful for Claude, Lisa and the entire Donati family. Their kindness, their compassion and their unwavering support mean the world to the survivors we serve. This matching gift will multiply generosity at a time when more families are turning to us for safety and healing.”
