Early Sales Strong at FRVTA SuperShow
The Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) opened the 36th Annual 2021 Florida RV SuperShow Wednesday to big crowds. Unseasonably cold weather and overcast skies slowed down the crowd. According to the organizers, while attendance was down from previous record-setting years, the more than 10,000 people that came to the show were serious shoppers. Dealers reported opening day sales as good as or better than previous years.
Organizers say the 2021 SuperShow has representation from most major RV manufacturers as well as hundreds of accessory booths exhibitors.
“To say this has been a challenging year is an understatement,” said Executive Director David Kelly. “Attendees and exhibitors have been thanking us for moving ahead with the show. While attendance might be a little off this year, I think we’re going to see strong sales.”
“The theme of the 2021 Florida RV SuperShow is ‘Good Clean Fun!,’” the organizers said. “The phase is perfect for the RV Industry, as there is no safer way to travel the country than in your own home on wheels. It also speaks to the precautions that the Florida RV Trade Association has taken to provide a clean environment at the show.”
In addition to other precautions, FRVTA did temperature checks of all attendees at the gates, masks were required inside the buildings and RVs. In addition, hand sanitizer and hand washing stations were provided and organizers urged social distancing.
“RVers are the most considerate, friendly people in the world and that showed in how much they all respected each other yesterday,” Kelly said.
